Appointments

 The Surgery is open between 0800 and 1830, Monday to Friday.

Our GP Assistant Team will help you with booking appointments to see or speak with one of our Doctors, Nurses or Health Care Assistants, or helping you with any queries that you may have.

We offer a mix of same day and pre-bookable appointments and continually review the mix of appointments in order to meet the current demand.

When booking an appointment please tell us:

  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs

Extended Hours

For patients who are not able to attend during normal opening hours we offer pre-bookable routine appointments with both our Doctors and our Nurses on Tuesdays from 0730 to 0800 and 1830 to 1930, and some weekends. If you would like to book one of these appointments please ask.

Appointments can be booked on-line via SystmOne. To set up an account please ask at the Front Desk. Proof of ID will be required.

 

Home Visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the Surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate that this is not always possible. If you are unable to get in and need a home visit, please let us know BEFORE 1030 wherever possible.

Please note that the Doctor may telephone you rather than visit you, or ask a Paramedic to attend on their behalf if this is medically appropriate. 

Telephone Consultations

All Doctors and Practice Nurses are available for telephone consultations, so please contact us to book and appointment.

If you are enquiring about test results, as long as the Doctors have reviewed the results our GP Assistant Team can help you with this information. It is best to call us AFTER 1100 for these.  

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs

Cancelling or changing an appointment

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
