We provide a minor surgery service at our Dorchester site for suitable conditions. This service is available to registered patients of Prince of Wales Surgery, as well as patients from other local practices.

 

What procedures are offered?

Minor surgery may be suitable for certain:

  • Skin conditions and lesions

  • Ingrowing toenails

All procedures are assessed to ensure they are appropriate to be safely carried out in a GP surgery setting.

 

Who provides this service?

Minor surgery clinics are provided by:

  • Dr John Robertson

  • Dr Michael Lewis

Both doctors are experienced in performing minor surgical procedures.

 

How to access the service

  • Patients must be referred by their GP to this service.

  • Referrals from other local GP practices are accepted where appropriate.

 

What to expect

  • An assessment to confirm suitability for minor surgery

  • Clear explanation of the procedure, risks, and aftercare

  • The procedure carried out in a safe, clean, and confidential environment

  • Advice on wound care and follow-up

 

All minor surgery is provided in line with NHS guidance, with patient safety and informed consent as a priority.
