Repeat Prescriptions

If you are taking regular medication and require an additional supply, please complete the repeat prescription portion attached to your last prescription, and leave this with our receptionist, or post it to the Practice, for collection (if you leave a pre-paid envelope, we will gladly post it to you).

Alternatively, you may leave it with your chemist, who will deliver to/collect from the Practice on your behalf.

Please allow 48 hours (72 hours if using the chemist) from receipt in the Practice before collection.

We do not accept telephone requests - except in emergencies only.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
